Partnership With Parents

We believe parents are their children 'primary' educators and it is essential for parents to always maintain their central involvement of their children's experiences and development throughout their children's lives. We realise the importance of our Nursery maintaining trust and confidence with parents and we wish for our continued happiness and partnership.

We encourage all forms of communication which facilitates our care and support we give to your children.

Each child has their very own Learning Story Folder which is a record of your child's interests, significant achievements and development throughout their time with us. We welcome parental contributions (this would include all significant people involved with your child) and we encourage parents to access their own child's Learning Stories Folder at any time.

Parents also receive via email information through Topic letters and Fortnightly diaries. The Topic letters consist of the planned Nursery activities for the upcoming fortnight, including what the focus will be with regards to numbers, phonics and the theme. Our Fortnightly diaries give a detailed overview of how the planning has been implemented over the past fortnight, including photographs of the children doing their Nursery activities.

Effective communication means there is a two way flow of information, knowledge and expertise between parents and staff. Staff are available daily to give feedback about your children's day and to share significant events with you. Every interaction with you is based on a caring, professional relationship and respectful acknowledgement of the feelings of you as parents and those of your children.
